The Endless Series explores a wide spectrum of variations on a single original modern Celtic design. It is therefore endless because there is no limit to its possibilities and because Celtic designs have, by definition, no beginning and no end.

This piece is inspired by the low-tide vista at Parksville, British Columbia when the sky-sea horizon is barely distinguishable. Rivulets of the sea remain on the sands and flow into smaller pools across the exposed sandbar. The piece is composed of twelve interlinked ‘Endless’ design units, forming a massive endless pattern.

Acrylic paint (with fabric medium) on cotton. Washable by hand, press over damp cloth.
