COVID RAINBOW PANELS:

This piece comprises 7 individual free-hanging cotton panels, united by a fabric pelmet, backed with batting and lined. Each of the panels is a different colour of the rainbow and was initially dyed on white cotton with Jacquard’s Dye-Na-Flow ranging from dark at the top through pale to white at the bottom. Each panel is embroidered with a series of individual, independent and unique designs in self-coloured threads ranging from dark to light. The whole creates an insulated curtain or portal. It was created during the initial period of COVID-19 in 2019.
